San Francisco Minimum Wage Order
| The City’s minimum wage was adjusted to $8.82 effective January 1, 2006. Starting January 1, 2006 all employers including small businesses and nonprofits are required to pay the minimum wage of $8.82 per hour. The requirement applies to adult and minor employees who work two (2) or more hours per week. San Francisco Administrative Code Sec 12.R.5b dictates that every Employer shall post in a conspicuous place at any workplace or job site where any Employee works the notice published each year by the Agency informing Employees of the current Minimum Wage rate and of their rights under this Chapter.
